United Mothership V2 Frame Now In The UK!

Its been a while since my last post, this is mainly due to working constraints! But don't fear, I'm back on it now and have I got one for you today! The United Mothership frame has to be one of the biggest selling frames of the last 10 years. They were so popular when they last dropped I remember going a skate park and seeing 3 or 4 at a time! Well some time on after the first and with quite a few revisions later, here is the United Mothership V2 Frame! The V2 Frame is crammed full of changes to the original including a shorter rear end and a higher stand over height! Loads of subtle differences along with the big ones really do make this frame a big contender to be as big as the original! Many changes have been made to also make this United Mothership V2 a better BMX frame than ever before, Invest cast seat stay bridge, Unique Brand new shape BB the list just seems to go on and on check out this from the United Website " The all new Nathan Williams signature United Mothership v2 Frame. It’s been a while, and the time is finally here to release the second incarnation of Nathan’s signature frame. The popularity of the first version came as no surprise, and we wanted to take our time to really put out a second version that took into consideration Nathan’s ever evolving set ups and riding. Using all the experience we have built up in the years of producing frames, we feel that we have come up with something that not only looks better than ever before, but also performs like it. A whole new custom down tube which is entirely round in diameter at the head tube (providing the strongest junction for welding) and then ovalizes as it goes down towards the bottom bracket to provide greater dent resistance in key areas. A full new beefed up tube set throughout the frame, new seat tube/top tube junction with invest cast seat clamp, an invest cast seat stay brace that follows the exact profile of a tyre to give the best clearance possible, a new shape wider bottom bracket which provides a stiffer and more spread apart chain stay junction for increased strength, new dropouts, all built around proven geometry, and backed by Mr Williams." So as you can see, Nathan is stoked on it and I'd wager he hopes you are too. I dropped into Foundation BMX yesterday and they'd just taken delivery of a 21" Burgundy version of this frame so if your local to crewe you can pick yours up here. Check out the rest of the spec of the new United Mothership V2 Frame on the Foundation BMX site too!

Sunday 2012 Complete Bikes

So its been a while since I blogged about what's happening in and around crewe and within the BMX scene in general. It's Xmas again and don't time travel so fast when you riding! Anyways I drop into FoundationBMX on Nantwich road the other day and they've more bikes than the streets of amsterdam! The latest Arrivals are the heavily anticipated Sunday 2012 Bikes! Last year and the year before for that matter blew the BMX industry away! Whether it was the Florissant Aaron Ross colours or the outrageous odyssey spec, everyone was like woah! So 2012 is guess what? More of the same from sunday! This years line up is about less colour ways more current parts including the arrival of the new Odyssey Thunderbolt cranks on the higher end bikes! This years Range Starts out with their brand New Sunday Spark 2012 BMX Bike, which is probably one of the best spec'd entry level bikes ever made. It has a fully sealed rear hub, odyssey pivotal seat & post integrated headset, sealed BB and Odyssey Twisted PC's! The second bike in the range is another  bike from the previous 2011 range the Sunday Aaron Ross AM 2012 which comes in a a mint colour way for 2012 and features only a slightly better spec than the Spark with the latest Velo Odyssey Aitken Seat and double wall rims! The same level bike is available in the Gary Young colours check out the Sunday Gary Young AM 2012 which is available in Navy. Moving up a notch we start to see a noticeable Spec increase between the AM bikes and next level EX Bikes. The Sunday Aaron Ross EX 2012 has Odyssey Aaron Ross Tyres, Quadrant rims, Fully sealed front and rear hubs and a lot more chromoly in the frame with all but 2 tubes being chromoly. This spec is also available again in the Gary Young Colours, the Sunday Gary Young EX 2012 is available in a fire engine red with gold and burgundy parts! Now for what we've all been waiting for! The Sunday Aaron Ross Pro 2012 in soda pop orange! This is always the most anticipated bike from Sunday every year! This year in Aaron's signature soda pop orange colour! this bike has it all, Thunderbolt cranks (RRp £169), Vandero Front Hub, Hazard V3 Cassette Hub, Quadrant rims, Brand new Aaron Ross Seat, Monolever, Evo 2 Brake, the list goes on! And most of it comes in Soda pop Orange! Well all of it apart from the seat Weirdly! Now for 2012 there is another surprise, as if Sunday wanted to take the spec of their bikes a little bit further, I know, your thinking how do you take them further? Well this year they have a new top end bike..... The Sunday Forcaster Special 2012. This Bike is all aftermarket.... Frame is a actual Sunday Forcaster (RRP£299) the forks are actual Sunday Morning 2.1 forks (RRP£129) the bars are Sunday Tall T Bars (RRP£79) Hazard lite rims, brand new odyssey lincoln stem, thunderbolt cranks, basically a £1500 bike for only £999! This bike sure does look sweet! If you wanna see any of these bad boys in the flesh head down to FoundationBMX where they've got them all on display!

United Dinero Forks have landed!

United droped these new forks at Interbike this year, there basically replacing the current Squad V2's as they are a better stronger design with invest cast dropouts! Now I hear you screaming whats Invest Cast Dropouts? Basically it means that the dropouts on the forks slot into the legs to minimise welding, this makes the stronger and more reliable, especially for peg use! I walked past our local BMX yesterday and found they'd just had a delivery of these new United bits including United Dinero Forks and United Mothership Bars so I had a look and boy do they both look sweet! The Mothership bars have been put out to replace Nathan Williams current bars the Grande Bars. Nathan has had signature Grande bars for years now but always found himself cutting them down slightly, so the natural progression of the grande was too produce hime a BMX Handlebar that was more current to what he's using now. The United Mothership Bars are now 8.5" rise instead of the original 8.25 and they are now 28" wide instead of 29". Both these great new parts are available at your local BMX store now!

FIT 2012 Complete's

We always like to recommend good products here on the blog, and locally your not gonna find a better dealer than FoundationBMX on Nantwich Road in Crewe. Recently because I've been away we've not really been able to document the latest deliveries etc so here's an update on the 2012 Complete BMX Bikes from Fit Bike Co. 2012 is yet another where Fit's spec is awesome, with the introduction of revenge rims on 2 series completes and FIT FAF coloured wall tyres on a lot of models they really look great value bikes. The bike to the right is a great looking bike at a great price the FIT VH1 2012 Black/Red is one of the 1 Series entry level bikes for 2012 which come in at £369. I'll put more links at the bottom of the post to the other bikes in the 1 series so you can check them out! The 2 Series see quite a big jump in specification this year. The introduction of Revenge Rims, Translucent Paint jobs like the FIT Eddie 2 2012 Trans Orange to the right in Translucent Orange, also the the FIT VH2 2012 Trans Teal in exactly the same finish as the actual FIT VH3 BMX Frame. The 3 Series bikes are as you'd expect from Fit. Clean good lucking bikes inspired in design by
what the Fit pro team actually use. I think this is an important part of producing and making the Bikes sell well. A lot of the 3 Series bikes are just like this, the FIT Eddie 3 2012 Black is the spitting images of Fit's Shawn Mccintosh's bike from resent and the FIT VH3 2012 Gold is the spitting image of Van Homans bike from his resent visit to the UK for the Unit 23 Jam! The signature series bikes are again crazy for 2012. The Specs are super serious Odyssey Hazard Lite rims, Odyssey Twombolt cranks the list goes on! Anyways check all the bikes out on the links below!

Stereo 2012 BMX Bikes!

So its that time of year, BMX companies are dropping all their new Complete BMX Bikes. I dropped into FoundationBMX the other day and they'd just had the latest Stereo Complete BMX Bikes in! For sure these bikes look sick, year on year the standard of Complete BMX bikes gets better and better. This year Stereo BMX have kept the model range the same and where possible tried to keep the prices as they were, due to ever increasing costs in the far east the bikes are as competitive as they could be. This years entry level bike the Stereo Speaker 2012 is available is available in two colour ways, all matte black which looks sick and matte grey with red rims for those still living in 2009! The speaker is available for just £309 which is great value based on the fact it has 25/9 (new for 2012), Mid Sealed BB, Integrated headset, padded seat & post combo and a shortened front end for those who want a fitted bike! The second bike in the Stereo BMX range for 2012 is the Plug In, the plug in is the bike which has had to take the hit with the price! This bike hash't changed much from 2011 to 2012 but the colour ways sure do look good! Firstly the Stereo Plug in 2012 comes in Matt Grey with Florissant Orange rims or Gun Metal Grey which looks sick! The next bike
in the 2012's is the Stereo Wire 2012 which comes in Purple with polished stem and hubs or grew some tray with chrome bars! This bike did really well las year and I reckon it will go this way again based on its looks! Its the First bike to have full chromo front triangle, Tall and wide bars and I think you'd agree the pro finish! Check out more of the specs on the FoundationBMX Site! Links below
